Bo Sang Umbrella Festival is the major highlight attraction in Chiang Mai. This festival is annually held in the third week of January. Bo Sang, where this festival is held, produces umbrellas and earns good income out of them. In this festival, we can see local artisan masterpieces and some interesting attractions such as various live musics and dances, umbrella making and painting, and food festival! Beside of that, at this Bo Sang Umbrella festival you can be satisfied take pictures because along the way in Bo Sang will look very colorful because many colored umbrella hung along the road and very have beautiful color.

- Meet A Cute Panda at Chiang Mai Zoo
If you are visit Chiang Mai, you shouldn’t forget to visit Chiang Mai Zoo. With an area of 100 hectares and located at the underneath of Mount Suthep, making this place a suitable living location for the various fauna that became that zoo collection. With a ticket costing 150 Baht, we can enter this zoo area, and which is excellent for the visitors of course the collection of pandas. The Chinese government lent to the Thai government several Pandas to be cultivated in this zoo in 2003. To enter the panda area, visitors are charged an additional fee of 100 Baht. When entering the panda cage, we will be presented with the history of the panda, which is still a family with the Bear.

- Visiting the Luxurious Wat Phra That Doi Suthep
This temple is located near the top of Suthep Mountain. If we want a visit to this place, we must plan thoroughly to choose what kind of transportation we will use to get there. There are various kinds of transportation such as taxi, tuk-tuk (a three-wheeled vehicle that is used as public transportation) and also songthaew (modified pickup car and used as a public transportation). But we suggest you taking tuk-tuk or songthaew because the cost is cheaper than taxi. After arrived there, you must climb 300 stairs to reach the top. As for those who don’t want to take stairs, there is elevator that has been provided.

- Hunting Cheap Souvenirs and Food at Night Bazaar Chiang Mai
Be sure to visit the Night Bazaar. Stallholders line both sides of the street and prices are really competitive. Night Bazaar located just outside the moat which surrounds the center of Chiang Mai. It consists of street-side stalls which occupy both sides of the main road and markets inside and underneath buildings. The Night Bazaar started at 6pm and remained open until the early hours. There are so many stalls and places to eat. This is where you will find Burger King, McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hut if that is what you want also. The prices here we found to be very reasonable once we had compared them to other areas of Thailand. You could easily spend a full night here or even two getting presents and things for yourself.
